I am a philosopher of science currently based in Vienna. I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition Research and an Invited Lecturer at Kyiv School of Economics. I completed my PhD in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge in 2024.
I work in philosophy of biology and philosophy of the social sciences, often trying to bridge the two. My primary research interest is knowledge integration across the biological and social domains, particularly in the context of studying human psychology and health. While investigating these topics, I also engage with a number of more traditional philosophical concerns, such as causation and causal explanation, the nature of psychological entities, and the role of epistemic and non-epistemic values in scientific inquiry.
My current research focuses on behavioural genetics and genomics and their intersections with the social sciences as well as cultural evolutionary theory. For a representative example of my work, see this recent paper.
I was born and grew up in Ukraine which continues to suffer from the Russian invasion. You can help Ukrainian medics save lives by donating to https://www.hospitallers.org.uk/ or https://www.leleka.care/.
